“Local Color” Plein Air Exhibit by Artists of the Delmarva Peninsula - The
Tidewater Inn, Easton, Maryland.
In support of the fifth annual Easton - Plein Air Competition and Arts Festival,
the Working Artists Forum and St. Michaels Art League are sponsoring a juried
and judged art exhibit entitled “Local Color”.  The exhibit will be held
concurrently with and under the auspices of the Easton - Plein Air Competition.
The exhibit is open to all artists who reside on the Delmarva Peninsula, and all
members of  SMAL and the WAF (co-hosts of “Local  Color”.).  Participants
who have been juried into the Plein Air – Easton Competition are not eligible to
apply.
Awards include a Best in Show ($600) and Best in categories: Architectural,
Pastoral, Marine and Exterior Floral, ($100 each).  Awards will be presented on
Friday at 12:00 noon, with a reception to follow.

FREE Armand Cabrera Demo - Nationally known oil painter Armand Cabrera
will be giving a free “alla prima” (completed in one sitting) demonstration of a
large oil painting from a small sketch at the Calhoon MEBA Engineering
School, 27050 St. Michaels Road (Rt. 33) in the Newberry Auditorium from 1 -
4 p.m. on Monday, August 24th.

weekend of September 5, under the tent at St. Luke's United Methodist Church
in St. Michaels.
