Nationally known oil painter Armand Cabrera gave a free “alla prima”
(completed in one sitting) demonstration of a large oil painting from a
small sketch at the Calhoon MEBA Engineering School, in August of 2009.
A dedicated painter, Armand’s style is to paint “alla prima,” completing his
paintings in one sitting whether in the studio or out of doors. Currently
represented by fine art galleries throughout the country, he has had
numerous one-man exhibitions, and his work can be found in corporate
and private collections around the world. Armand writes regularly for his
informative blog – ArtAndInfluence.blogspot.com. He was recently
honored with a ten page article in International Artist Magazine.
Additionally, American Art Collector, International Artist, Art of the West,
and Southwest Art magazines have all recognized him as one of the
premier contemporary painters in the country. He has been juried into the
prestigious "Contemporary Masters, Artistic Eden" Exhibition at the
Pasadena Museum of History in Pasadena, California and the “Invitational
Paintout – In the Footsteps of Thomas Moran.” For more information on
