Walt Bartman: “How to Critique Your Own Paintings” Workshop
Can you evaluate your own paintings? Have you ever wondered why a painting
is working or not working?  We are pleased to announce that Walt Bartman
is offering a one-day September workshop on this subject!    Besides being a
wonderful plein air painter, Walt has galleries in Glen Echo, Frederick, and
Tilghman.  Most recently, he is showing his work at the Bridge Restaurant on
Tilghman Island, where he will hold this workshop.

Weather permitting, the morning will be spent painting outdoors in any
medium with Walt's assistance. The afternoon session will be devoted to lunch
(included in fee) and Walt's
lecture on "How to Critique Your Own Paintings".
Besides having a beautiful waterfront day at the Bridge, you will probably learn
something valuable about
your own work.  The Fee is $70 for Members and
$105 for Non-members.  Click here for a Registration Form.

Lee D'Zmura - "Travel and Nature Journaling Workshop"  -  This two-day
workshop is an introduction to the increasingly popular passtime of travel
and nature journaling. Creating your own personal journal to preserve special
life experiences provides a one-of-a-kind souvenir of those times that cannot
be duplicated.  Workshop participants will be introduced to various techniques
to allow you to quickly and spiritedly record experiences and places as they are
happening. Emphasis will be placed on initial sketches, text and color render-
ing using a variety of media -- but your own creativity will definitely come into
play as you develop your journal.

The workshop will be held in the Christ Church Parish Hall, St. Michaels MD.
