About Us
Our Mission
The Art League's mission is to further the visual arts and bring art to our community. Members are encouraged
to enhance their creativity, learn new skills, share ideas with others interested in art, and support each others
artistic endeavors. Our members agree that the St. Michaels Art League is the creative spirit of this very special
town and, most importantly, we have fun.

Episcopal Church, located on Green St. in St. Michaels just behind the Church.
Meetings include an art
demonstration or art talk and are free to members. There is a $5 fee for guests. See

Display of Members' Work
The Art League hosts several art shows and exhibits throughout the year. Additionally, members' work is
displayed in public offices and private businesses throughout the town of St. Michaels, the St. Michaels Branch
of the Talbot County Free Library, and in art galleries.
The Community
Young people interested in art are especially important to us, and our members work closely with the local high
school art department to help meet students' needs. We sponsor yearly portfolio scholarships for graduating
seniors, financial aid to students for art workshops, and our annual Children's Art Day for elementary school
children. The Art League is committed to the community and participates in the Christmas in St. Michaels
annual fund-raising events.
