St. Michaels Banner Program
The St. Michaels Art League (SMAL) has initiated an annual banner program entitled
“Celebrate St. Michaels”.  Each Spring, members of SMAL submit artwork for
judging.  Selected entries are made into banners that are displayed on standards
along Talbot Street throughout the summer. Artwork can be in any two-dimensional
medium, including oils, acrylics, watercolor, collage and photography.  

In addition, posters made from the banners are sold by local merchants.  

As part of this program, SMAL holds an art show and sale, where art of the
participating artists is showcased, including the original artwork for the banners.
